Real client, plainlegal's first redesign with the desire to reduce the bounce rate of visitors on the site, increase conversation rates and connect lawyers with new clients

I was point for the project, communicating between the client and the team through email. 

Product Immersion is a good point to start. Here is where you find out all that you can in the allotted time available. With legal for example you look at both Legal and non Legal sites that provide availability for professionals looking for new business, why and how they are successful, what do they do specifically and how those things can be transferfed over.

Our Competitive / Comparative analysis showed us not only how other legal sites show their lawyers but how freelance sites display their freelancers. Here we are looking for similar approaches as different takes regarding referral services.

Gorilla research helps explain what information is already available.Specifically in Guilds or  Associations related to the client. Then it is all in the wording of the question. For example, instead of just legal searches, use one or more segments of one result to dig deeper to find out more information.

It is important to see what user reactions areas well as what they want and have wanted in the first place. Here is legal help online a small sample, especially since most legal help is desired to be received via referral.

When interviewing individuals whether for usability or research, I find it of utmost importance to find individuals whose experiences are in line with the product. For example here Diane had to look for a divorce lawyer online, and her reason was because she was new to the area she was living in and did not want to have a private matter discussed with new people she just me within her community..
